Places to play:  Taisho Central Tennis Club - Shinjuku

This club has 8 hard courts, all with lights.   They rent courts, have various membership categories, and have a tennis school. There is a clubhouse and parking. 

Regular full membership is 320,000 yen/year plus a registration fee of 60,000 yen.  Family members are 200,000 yen/year (all days) or 120,000 yen/year (weekdays only), plus registration fee of 50,000 yen.  Weekday-only members are 180,000 yen/year plus registration fee of 50,000 yen.  Corporate memberships are 1,450,000 yen/year for 4 persons (undesignated name) and registration fee of 350,000 yen.  Members can bring visitors for 3,000 yen/person for 2 hours on weekdays and 5,000 yen/person on weekends/holidays.  

RENTAL COURTS

For renting a court (as a non-member), you must go to the club and register before you can make reservations by phone. The court fee is 8,000 yen for 90 minutes during early morning and daytime weekends/holidays.  For evening play, the fee is 15,000 for 2 hours and 20,000 for 3 hours.  The 1 hour from 6 to 7 PM is 8,000 yen.  Max 8 persons per court.  Closed Mondays.

The hours of operation are 7:30 AM to 9 PM.

The club is located about 700 meters west of the skyscraper area of Nishi-Shinjuku, and is on the same block as the Opera City Building.   The closest subway station is Hatsudai, and about 3 minutes walk from the station's north exit.  By car, come up Yamate Dori and cross Route 20 (which has an elevated expressway), then turn left at the first traffic light.  The club is along the left side of the road in the first block.

The clubhouse is along the street next to court 3, and is on the second floor (It looks like it is part of a Denny's restaurant that is alongside the courts.)  Address is Honcho 1-55-14, Shibuya-ku, and phone is 3320 8631.
